Anabolic steroids and Hair Loss

Can hair loss from anabolic steroids be reversed?  When I was in college I experimented with a couple of cycles of anabolic steroids. As a baseball player most of us used them to compete. Luckily I came to my senses in my senior year and stopped cold turkey. I noticed during that time that my hair began to thin. It continued to thin several months after I stopped using and then the shedding just topped. It’s now four years later and while my hair has not gotten worse, the hair I lost never grew back.

Is it possible to reverse hair loss caused by anabolic steroids or is this just one of the adverse side effects of steroids use that I will have to live with?

Anabolic steroids can accelerate hair loss in men or women genetically predisposed to androgenic alopecia. Certain medications could possibly reverse your hair loss, but it is not likely. These medications include Propecia and Minoxidil. At some point your hair loss may begin to progress again. Medications can help prevent or slow down the future thinning or loss of hair. You could try a course of medications for 6 to 12 months to see how you respond. If there is no improvement after one year, you are not likely to see any future benefit in terms of increased hair though progression of hair loss might be limited by
future use of medications. If you still desire to restore your hair at that point, you might want to consider an evaluation for you suitability for hair transplant surgery.

There are a lot of pro and cons related to steroid use. I have come across many pharmacies that sell steroids online but I don't remember ever reading about hair loss related to them. What other side effects can appear if they are used in prescribed quantities?

One of the major side-effects is hair loss, but if you are already suffering from that then there is no loss , but be careful when you want to buy steroids online thee are some safer then others

It's good that the guy stopped when he still had some hair on his head. Thankfully most side effects are less noticeable for the best legal steroids you can find if you have a doctor's prescription and of course, if you take them in normal quantities.

Sadly, all efforts to reverse hair loss didn't prove to be too efficient. There are many people that buy steroids online and suffer from hair loss. This is a side effect that needs to be taken in consideration before starting to use them.

Nowadays there are legal steroids one can use. It isn't harmful to use and plus no addiction.

Anabolic steroid use has increased in the past few years because people don't have time to get fit by exercising and dieting and they try to find easy ways to do it. There have been many complaints of hair loss form people using them and there will be even more because anybody can buy steroids online. Hair loss is not reversible and you should probably just stop using them if your hair starts to fall down.

If that's true, how come there are so many women, like Adela Garcia-Friedmansky, Angie Monteleone-Semsch and many others who are female bodybuilders and yet have hair? Could they have had a hair transplant surgery? Maybe there are steroids that don't affect your hairiness, after all. I guess those who prescribe them should pay more attention to what they give to bodybuilders or when they buy legal steroids online.

  • Margaret Monteleone

First of all, Angie Monteleone was never a body builder, she was a fitness competitor. And No, she never took steroids. I can tell you for certain that she has never had any hair transplant. I have known her since she was 16.

For the past several years – everytime I did a cycle, I’ve been noticing that my hair was thinning; I used to have really thick hair. I didn’t think much of it until about a year ago when I started to get really self conscious about it and every year I could see more and more of my scalp. It wasn’t to the point of being bald and having to use Rogaine but something needed to be done.

I found Shielo’s Volume Shampoo & Conditioner and although it seemed expensive, and for women, I decided to try it out based on the positive reviews. I’m very glad that I did. I’ve been using it for 4 months now and I can definitely feel a difference and my girlfriend has commented that she can see and feel the difference too.

I use it everyday and you don’t need to use much for a guy with short hair. As soon as I used it, my hair felt a little different than my standard shampoo and I’d have to say that it took about a couple of months to start to feel and see a significant improvement.

This shampoo should be used at least 5 times a week and smells great, it’s like an apple smell; I don’t experience any stinging. My hair seems to also grow faster so I need more frequent hair cuts but that’s not something I’m complaining about; it’s definitely hair growth stimulating. This is not for someone who is already bald and wants to grow back hair on a bald spot. This is more for someone who has started to see and feel their hair thinning and wants to stop it from getting worse and get some thickness back in their hair. My hair is not what it was 10 years ago but it looks and feels a lot better now and it combs better too. Highly recommended; it’s worth the price for me.
